Helen’s background is in international development and education, having spent over three years working across marketing, communications and fundraising at an international primary education NGO. During this time, she worked with teachers, students and education professionals around the globe who were all dedicated to improving access to education for marginalised groups.

Prior to this, she studied English, History and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of Exeter. In 2021, she completed a master’s degree in International Journalism, before going on to assist on a climate change and development project at the Daily Mirror newspaper. She has also written for publications including Cosmopolitan and Refinery29.
