The UK and India have agreed to officially recognise each other’s higher education qualifications – a move that has been hailed as a "landmark, historic agreement".
UK higher education leaders and representatives from 22 institutions travelled to India to meet with Indian counterparts for the first time since the new National Education Policy was launched.
The National Education Policy 2020 will help to "establish India as an international education destination", but overseas institutions and stakeholders question how it will affect operations in the country.
